Refund Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
This policy covers digital books bought directly from ebcobook.com. Ebooks are delivered instantly, which shapes how refunds work; this page explains when we refund and how to ask. Books bought at a third-party retailer are covered by that retailer's own refund policy and must be requested from the retailer.
Immediate delivery and the right of withdrawal
Your download is available as soon as payment completes. Where consumer law gives you a right to withdraw from a distance purchase within a cooling-off period — as it does in the EU and the UK — that right does not survive the start of delivery of digital content that you have agreed to receive immediately.
By completing checkout you ask for immediate delivery of the ebook and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the download is available. This is presented at checkout, not buried here.
When we refund
We refund in full, without argument, when something has actually gone wrong. That includes:
Failed or corrupted downloads — the file will not download, will not open, or is damaged, and we could not fix it by reissuing the file.
Wrong product — you received a different book from the one you paid for.
Duplicate purchases — you were charged more than once for the same book.
Accidental purchases — you bought by mistake and tell us before downloading the file.
Technical problems on our side that prevent you from getting the book you paid for.
Tell us within 30 days of purchase and we will put it right — usually by resending or replacing the file first, and by refunding if that does not resolve it.
When we usually do not
We do not generally refund because you have read the book and did not enjoy it, or because you bought a title you already owned. Sample pages are published on every book page precisely so you can judge the writing before paying.
That said, we would rather have a fair outcome than a rigid rule. If your situation does not fit neatly into the paragraphs above, write to us and explain it.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, and include the order or transaction reference from your receipt. That reference is what lets us find the purchase quickly.
You may also contact the payment provider directly using the link on your receipt. As Merchant of Record it can process a refund independently of us, and it will honour its own buyer terms regardless of what this page says.
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued by the payment provider to the original payment method. How long the money takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, and is typically a few business days.
Once a refund is issued, your download link for that book is deactivated.
